Points of View – Cité Internationale Universitaire de Paris offers a contemplative photographic walk through the houses that make up the Cité. Each image reveals a fragment of architecture, an identity, a story. Together, the photographs form a constellation of perspectives that link the houses to one another, drawing a symbolic map of unity through difference.
Conceived in 1925, in a context shaped by the aftermath of the First World War, the Cité was founded on the ideal of promoting peace and dialogue between cultures. Its 47 houses, diverse in style and origin, embody coexistence, exchange, and an understanding of a plural and complex world.
This work invites viewers to look closely at the architectural and human heritage of the campus. Taken across different seasons and moments of the day, the images reflect diversity and the passage of time, serving as a metaphor for coexistence and peace. At the Cité, as in the work, the sum of perspectives builds a shared image of the world.
This project was initiated in 2024 as part of an artistic creation grant awarded by the Spanish Ministry of Culture.
