This exhibition brings together a selection of works from the projects Point de vue • Punto de vista and La Ville Lumière — two complementary approaches to the city of Paris through contemporary photography. These bodies of work explore both the city’s visual dimensions and its conceptual resonances, revealing fragments of an ever-evolving metropolis.
Both projects are ongoing. The images presented here form a chapter within a broader creative process, initiated in 2024 as part of an artistic creation grant awarded by the Spanish Ministry of Culture.

Point de vue
Point de vue is a project that invites the public to rediscover the historical and cultural legacy of Paris through low-angle shots, unexpected connections, and everyday details—revealing the city's character and the contrasts that shape its urban landscape. The project embraces a minimalist black-and-white aesthetic, where static, rigid architecture contrasts with the ever-changing, unpredictable sky.
In the early days of photography, long exposure times made it necessary to focus on motionless subjects, such as buildings. As a result, cities appeared empty: technical limitations prevented anything in motion from being captured within a given timeframe.
Today, the fast pace of urban life produces the opposite effect: architecture fades into the background, becoming nearly invisible in our daily routines. In response, these photographs propose a slower walk through the streets of Paris, pausing to observe architectural details that often go unnoticed. An invitation to look closely and reflect on how we perceive and inhabit the urban environment today.

La Ville Lumière
Paris earned the nickname ‘City of Light’ (Ville Lumière) at the beginning of the 19th century, when it became the first European city to light its streets with gas lamps. This title takes on a new dimension in this photographic series, which explores the city’s vibrant nightlife through light, movement, and time.
The images, captured through long exposures and a single shot, emerge from the deliberate gesture of moving the camera. The result is a luminous, unrepeatable ‘score’, where each photograph reveals a composition as unexpected as it is unique. Like urban X-rays or drawings in the air, these images transform the everyday into a visual experience suspended between the abstract and the familiar.
Each one is, in this way, the result of a singular interaction between the pulse of the city… and my own.
